Imperial War Museum

After our trip to Borough Market we headed to Elephant and Castle to go to the Imperial War Museum. Rob had never been before and I last visited over ten years ago. We had been missing out!

We don't have many pictures of the museum as most of the exhibits had videos and information to explain them. We saw some fascinating things from gunners to tanks to engines to shelters!

We enjoyed the exhibition about the family in World War One. The holocaust exhibition was also fascinating and completely humbling. We both really think everyone needs to visit to really understand the magnitude of war.

After all that seriousness we still had a little bit of time for silliness!

Before leaving the museum we popped into the gift shop. We bought some British war time propaganda posters from the gift shop that we will eventually have framed in our house.

It was a fantastic day. We will definitely be visiting more museums. We would also like visit the Imperial War museum at Duxford and the RAF museum in Colindale.
